Built in the traditional style, from over 17 varieties of wood, all of which can be found in the Sarongge jungle, Saung Sarongge is our beautiful tourism and community centre. Its a place for the local community to practice traditional dance and martial arts, for farmer groups and cooperatives to meet, a place to host trainings and health checks and of course celebrations!
It also serves as a first stop for guests visiting Sarongge. Guests are given a tour by the Saung Managers, who will also explain the packets and acitivities available.
Perfect for those who dont want, or are unable, to camp, the tourism and community centre also has rooms available for guests. For those on study trips or who require a longer stay, the community centre is a way to get right to the heart of community life. Join in with local activities such as jaipong and penca silat that are held at the community centre and enjoy vegtables from our organic garden.
If you want to hire the whole Saung for a team getaway, a meeting, or as a group of friends, contact us.
